Industrial Visit to Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Center on 5th October 2019.

A site visit to KSNDMC – karntaka state natural disaster Monitoring Centre was arranged to students on 5th October 2019. KSNDMC is pioneered in monitoring various disasters like drought, flood and earthquake. The same data will be shared with the different agencies, government and public of the state which will help in alerting them about disasters .
since the students had natural disaster mitigation and management in the academic curriculum it served as a bride to build gap between theoretical understanding and practical exposure of how different disasters will be monitored and managed. The institution even offered internship and project work proposal for the students and two batches of civil 7th semester students will be doing internship and project in KSNDMC.

Students of 5th semester Visited TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT CENTER BANGALORE on 5/10/2019.

Industrial Visit was arranged for 72 students of 5th semester on 5/10/2019 Saturday. Students were taken to TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT CENTER BANGALORE. As a part of curriculum students learnt how the entire banglore traffic is monitored and analyzed in different junctions and got an view of designing different intersections and signals in various areas of the city. Rules and regulations of traffic different initiation programs taken by traffic police. Learnt New technologies to reduce traffic and improve the safety of the people and planning better city with zero traffic.

Civil Engineering Students greeted teachers by celebrating teachers day On 5th September 2019. Civil Engineering students shown lot of love, affection, gratitude and care for their Teachers. Invited Talk on “Retrofitting”.

Er. Sunil R K., Delivered a talk on “Retrofitting”and Rehabilitation of structures with his 28 years of Experience in the field. which is an eye opener for Budding Civil Engineers, which fine tuned our students in their professional skills. Programme is conducted on 16th September 2019 in the auditorium more than 400 students were benefited with his encouraging talk.

Engineer’s Day is celebrated on the campus 16th September 2019 on occasion of Sir M. Visvesvaraya Birthday (15 September). Er. Sunil R K, Dr. S. G. Participation of Students in “Basic Principles and Applications of Geoinformatics” workshop at KSTA

Six students of Civil Engineering, participated in three days workshop at Karnataka Science and Technology Academy (KSTA) from 27 to 29 August 2019 (Tuesday – Thursday) Yashwanth N won 2nd Prize and Balaji M & Vamshi Krishna Won 3rd Prize in the quiz competition held after the workshop at KSTA.

Online IIRS Certificate Course

Basic of Remote Sensing, GIS and GNSS a three month online course (from 19-08-19 to 15-11-19) is being conducted at the department, 72 students are participating in this course which is host by Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (ISRO) Dehradun.
